Gosforth Park
Gosforth Park is located in Germiston near the Geldenhuys Interchange near the N3, N12 and N17 freeways, nowadays commonly associated with its availability of industrial property. The area was originally home to the Gosforth Park Race Club, a major horse racing track, which later became the Wesbank Raceway and finally sold to Atterbury in 2007. This development came to be Raceway Industrial Park and was the first major industrial development in this particular node. In 2009 the park was sold to Pangbourne, now Fortress. large users include Sasol as well as Masstores.
Other major developments in the area include Gosforth Business Park, home to House and Home DC and formerly also Imperial Retail Logistics, as well as Randport Industrial Estate which when complete will house over 100 000 m² of prime industrial development. The site is currently home to Chilleweni as well as some smaller operators but is also currently being developed for We Buy Cars. Another large development site in the area is S&J Industrial Estate which is the former Simmer and Jack mining land. This site boats over 200 Ha of prime industrial land which can be bought outright or developed to suit.
