Gosforth Park
Gosforth Park is located in Germiston near the Geldenhuys Interchange bordered by the N3, N12 and N17 freeways, and is associated with its availability of prime industrial property. The area was originally home to the Gosforth Park Race Club, a major horse racing track, which later became the Wesbank Raceway and finally sold to Atterbury in 2007. This development came to be Raceway Industrial Park and was the first major industrial development in this particular node. In 2009 the park was sold to Pangbourne, now Fortress. large users include Sasol as well as Masstores and Bayer.
Other major developments in the area include Gosforth Business Park, home to House and Home DC and formerly also Imperial Retail Logistics, as well as Randport Industrial Estate which is owned and developed by Atterbury and when complete will house over 100 000 m² of prime industrial development. Randport has seen significan development over the last few tears and users now include We Buy Cars, Matus Tools, African Logistics Services and Afrilog. Another large development site in the area is S&J Industrial Estate which is the former Simmer and Jack mining land. This site features over 200 Ha of prime industrial land which can be bought outright or developed to suit. This development has gained serious traction over the last few years and now includes users including Isuzu, Prospares, Big Dutchman and Kingsley Beverages. A new midi park called 9 at S&J is currently under development with first phase expected to be ready last quarter 2025.
